Dani Kristina is a Canadian-Croatian songwriter and creator based in Rijeka. She wrote over 600 songs before she left her teens, trained as a classical vocalist and pianist, and has spent most of her life working in and around the music industry. Today she writes toplines and ghostwrites for top-tier DJs and electronic producers, and gets called in to finish other artists' tracks when a project needs its last ten percent. Most of what she writes goes out under someone else's name.
Her own catalogue runs from pop anthems to moody, emotional ballads, lyric-driven either way. Her early records were written and recorded at Noble Street Studios in Toronto, the room behind albums by Drake, The Weeknd, and Shawn Mendes. She releases under her own name from time to time and has written alongside award-winning writers and producers, but the bulk of the work is the quieter kind: the song nobody knows she wrote.
Away from the studio, Dani built an audience of over 100,000 on socials, and runs Bitter Lip Media, a digital marketing agency. Through it she has worked with creators with millions of followers and built content and brand identities for companies across the EU and North America. The two sides feed each other. The writing sharpens the marketing, and the audience proves she knows what actually lands.
She is a diaspora kid who moved back and built a career out of it. Most of it goes out under other people's names. Some of it is her own.
